Andrés Echecopar

Andrés is the founder of AEA Capital, a startup investment vehicle, which has invested in nearly 30 startups since 2015. As an investor, he is very active in the investees board of directors and as an advisor in areas of fundraising, strategic agreements and LatAm expansion.

He is a member of the Board of ESADEBAN, where he assists in project selections to present at  forums, and is a visiting professor of Financing for Entrepreneurs in the MBAs of the Francisco de Vitoria University and EAE Business School.

Previously, Andrés was director of investments at Permira in Madrid, where he was adviser of the Cortefiel Group, and specialized in the financial sector and TMT. Previously, he had been a partner at PwC, in its Transactions Department, where he carried out more than 200 business reviews for private and corporate equity, both in Spain and internationally.

Andres has a degree in Business Administration and Management from ESADE, a CEMS Master’s from Sant Gallen (Switzerland) and an In-company MBA from ESADE.
